Pappas , Greece. Gaj et al concluded that the use of anal self-massage with a finger appears to induce a better resolution of acute anal fissure than anal dilators and in a shorter time [ 1 ]. We have objections to this strategy, because anal manipulation in the traumatized area of the fissure can induce further injury and aggravate symptoms, exposing the patient to the risk of fistula or abscess formation. Anal manipulation cannot relax the sphincter effectively in case of painful spasm.

An anal fissure is a very common problem faced by people of all age groups. An anal fissure can be in the form of a tear in the part of the anus or it may come out as a skin over the lining of your anus. The affected area of the anus can cause immense pain and even result in bleeding while bowel movement. The development of skin over the anus may result in discomfort and pain while sitting and hence needs immediate cure. An anal fissure can be of different type—few results in bleeding and few causing the development of skin over your anus.
Anal fissure is a common painful problem, affecting all age groups. Its pathophysiology is based on high sphincter pressures and reduced blood supplying and treatments which means that it generally reduces anal pressures and increases anodermal blood flow. In order to first remove fibrotic and granulation tissues, the base and the edges of the fissure were laser beamed. Eight spots were made on the sphincter by the laser on its continuous mode; somehow, they were passed through the full thickness of sphincter without interrupting its continuance. Afterwards, the area around the fissure ulcer was irradiated by deep fractional mode of the laser to stimulate the submucosa to regenerate and rejuvenate.
A thin, moist tissue called mucosa lines the anus. When a person passes hard or large stools it can lead to an anal fissure, and cause pain and bleeding with bowel movements. The patient may also suffer from spasms in the anal sphincter, that is the ring of muscle at the end of the anus. Patients who have had an anal fissure are more prone to the same problem in the future.
